The Clarinet People
Beverly Haberman During the years that my husband Clyde taught clarinet, he would often come home with a used clarinet that he found at a garage sale, in order to fix it up for some student that couldn't afford a new instrument. After some years, we realized that there are still students out there who could use this service and that we could help provide refurbished clarinets that sounded good, that would be reliable, and that would be affordable. And so that is what we did. We began our business in 2006, and since that time, I have heard from many appreciative parents who in the past either bought a used instrument that didn’t play when they got it, or broke soon after. We stand by our product and try to ensure that you are getting what you want and that you have a great experience buying from us. And if after you receive your clarinet, for whatever reason, you find this is not the instrument for you, then you get to return it for a full refund.
Clyde Haberman Playing clarinet has been a lifelong passion of mine. When I was in eighth grade, the neighborhood music came and showed us the line up of instruments we could choose from. And in the midst of all the instruments the clarinet absolutely stood out and I knew this was for me. It always fascinating to understand how the clarinet was put together and so as a practically new beginner, I decided to take my clarinet apart. With parts all over my bed, I finally figured out how this thing was organized. This was the beginning of what later became my interest in clarinet repair. I believe students should have an affordable clarinet that plays well and sounds good to make the most progress in their growth. This is why working with Beverly in FrannyToo! has been so rewarding.
