This beauty is a Normandy 8 Wood Bb clarinet (serial #37852). The only thing better than "cool retro" is true vintage that's been well-kept. This one comes in wonderful condition and we have taken in through our refurbishing paces: we have completely stripped it, cleaned every part, oiled the wood and keys, screws and springs, making adjustments and replacements as needed (details below). It plays like a dream: easy to blow and gives a very rich full sound.

This one has been totally repadded (except for the cork octave pad), and comes with a Selmer HS* mouthpiece in very good condition and a Luyben ligature.

• The body is in beautiful used condition with no chips nor cracks
• The keys are highly polished and show a little cosmetic wear to the plating
• The tenon corks are in good used condition and all the parts fit together with no wobble
• As stated above, we've installed 16 new pads; seated properly and tested, all pads seal well. Please note that during transport and shipping of a clarinet, due to atmospheric changes and other conditions not under our control, shrinkage and loosening of pads may occur. It is not common but it can occur
• The spring tension is good throughout and all rings are tight
• The case is a period case (marked with the Purdue maching band logo) in good used condition inside and out, with room for accessories.
