The Ridenour 147 Bb clarinet is the non-wood clarinet that plays like a good wood instrument. We love the Ridenours for their warm tone and even tone quality. This one is in excellent condition and sounds great throughout its range (serial #3938).

It's been stripped, cleaned, adjusted, polished, and repadded as necessary (see below). Every note sounds great from top to bottom and it's in ready to go condition. 

Tom Ridenour, maker of the Ridenour 147, has a wealth of knowledge behind his instruments and makes some of the best in the market. Some other features of this clarinet are:

• The body is in beautiful used condition and has a mat finish with no chips or cracks
• The keys are in good condition with a highly polished shine
• All cork is in good used condition and all the parts fit together with no wobble or leakage
• It has a leather octave key-pad and we've placed 10 new pads on it; all other pads are in good used condition and all seal well. Please note that during transport and shipping of a clarinet, due to atmospheric changes and other conditions not under our control, shrinkage and loosening of pads may occur. It is not common but it can occur
• The spring tension is good throughout and all the tenon rings are tight
• The tone holes are clean and the key height is in good adjustment
• Comes with a Ridenour BE10 mouthpiece in very good used condition. Includes ligature and cap
• Case is in very nice used condition inside and out

This clarinet would be a good choice for the beginner or intermediate level player. Also a fantastic pick for the woodwind doubler.
